The programme juxtaposes the elegance of early 20th-century French composition, from Lili Boulanger and Maurice Ravel to Alfredo Casella, with the innovation of contemporary voices – including a new work by German composer Clemens Thomas.
Trio Concept was formed in 2013 by three musicians from Turin – Edoardo Grieco (violin), Francesco Massimino (cello) and Lorenzo Nguyen (piano). In 2023 the ensemble became a YCAT Artist and, that same year, secured first prize at the Schoenfeld International Competition in Harbin, China. Following a three-week residency at the 2024 Verbier Festival Academy, the trio was awarded the Prix Yves Paternot, the festival’s highest honour in recognition of outstanding talent and potential.
