An opportunity to hear the award-winning ECHO Rising Star Trio Concept performing a selection of piano pieces from Paris and beyond, from across the last century.

The programme juxtaposes the elegance of early 20th-century French composition, from Lili Boulanger and Maurice Ravel to Alfredo Casella, with the innovation of contemporary voices – including a new work by German composer Clemens Thomas.

Trio Concept was formed in 2013 by three musicians from Turin Edoardo Grieco (violin), Francesco Massimino (cello) and Lorenzo Nguyen (piano). In 2023 the ensemble became a YCAT Artist and, that same year, secured first prize at the Schoenfeld International Competition in Harbin, China. Following a three-week residency at the 2024 Verbier Festival Academy, the trio was awarded the Prix Yves Paternot, the festival’s highest honour in recognition of outstanding talent and potential.
