Obituary: Roger Groves, 1943–2023

The London Symphony Orchestra is saddened to hear of the death of Roger Groves, former member of the Trombone section.

Roger Groves joined the LSO in 1975 and was a member of the Trombone section for over ten years. He can be heard on the Star Wars soundtrack.  He sat on the Board of Directors from 1984-85Roger passed away on 26 April 2023 after a brave battle with cancer.  

We send our condolences to Roger’s family and friends.
