Open Rehearsals

Due to the continuing restrictions caused by Covid-19, the LSO does not currently have any public Open Rehearsals planned. You are welcome to join our mailing list for details of Open Rehearsals in future seasons, but please be aware that these may not take place until Spring 2021 or later.
More information.

Open Rehearsals give a sneak-peak into what it takes to create an LSO performance and provide a fascinating insight into how the world's finest conductors work. Our rehearsals take place in the Barbican Hall and at LSO St Luke's.

Attending Open Rehearsals

We’re delighted to be able to give audience members the opportunity to attend these events; however, please remember that, as they are working rehearsals, it is important that the performers are not distracted. We ask that all audience members ensure that they don’t make any noise, including applause, during the rehearsal. Please be aware that you may not be able to hear everything the conductor says.

Rehearsals are scheduled to last for three hours, including a mid-session break. If you arrive late you may not be able to enter the hall until the break. Rehearsals may finish early at the discretion of the conductor without notice. Video/audio recording and photography are strictly forbidden.
