Want to know more about classical music but not sure where to start? Make the most of your lunchbreak and enjoy a free, 45-minute informal concert at LSO St Luke’s.
In this concert, our regular Free Friday Lunchtime Concert series joins up with Baroque at the Edge – a festival that invites musicians from all backgrounds to take the music of the baroque and see where it leads them. We'll explore 20th century Russian responses to the baroque in chamber music by Bach, Stravinsky, Schnittke and Shostakovich. Presenter Rachel Leach will be on hand to explain, and there will be a chance to put your questions to her and the musicians.
Each concert begins at 12.30pm and lasts for 45 minutes. The Café is open for light refreshments before the concert from 11.30am and after the concert until 2pm.
Free Relaxed Performance 11.15–11.45am
Relaxed performances are specially tailored for people with autism, sensory and communication impairments and learning disabilities. Babies under one year old are welcome, but please consider how older children may affect the experience for other audience members and the performers. Contact [email protected] to find out more.
