Free relaxed concerts at LSO St Luke's
Several times a term we put on Relaxed Performances – free, 30-minute informal concerts at LSO St Luke’s from 11.15–11.45am.
LSO musicians perform chamber music in the beautiful surroundings of LSO St Luke’s on Old Street. The concerts are informal and are presented by Rachel Leach, and there is a chance to ask questions at the end of the concert.
These performances are particularly suitable for individuals or groups who feel more comfortable attending concerts in a relaxed environment. Everyone is welcome including people with autism, sensory and communication impairments and learning disabilities.
Here is what you can expect at a Relaxed Performance:
- A relaxed attitude to noise and movement during the concert – you are welcome to move around the space, clap and make as much noise as you want!
- Friendly staff on hand to help welcome you.
- Doors to the performance space remain open throughout, so you can leave and re-enter at any point.
Concert opportunities for under-5s
Please note that these Relaxed Performances have been specially tailored for people with autism, sensory and communication impairments and learning disabilities. Babies under 1 year old are welcome, but please consider how older children may affect the experience for other audience members and the performers. If your child is under 5 years old, find out more about our interactive musical storytelling concerts for under-5s.
