FREE music on the grass!

Inside Out is a series of free lunchtime outdoor music concerts outside LSO St Luke's during the summer months.

We invite people to bring their lunches and picnics and enjoy the summer sunshine with some music – a perfect break from the office and great for families. You don't need to book in advance, just turn up on the day!

Fri 1 Jun 1.15pm: Gamelan Lila Cita
Gamelan Lila Cita, founded in 1992, is the only group in Britain that regularly performs a wide range of traditional and contemporary Balinese music. Today they will be playing Balinese gamelan angklung - a village ceremonial orchestra, comprising bronze gongs and metallophones, that produces fast, dynamic music characterised by complex interlocking patterns.

Fri 15 Jun 1.15pm: Guildhall Brass Ensemble
The Guildhall Brass Ensemble is formed in late 2010, when all ten musicians entered the Guildhall School. Since then the group has gone from strength to strength performing a wide variety of musical styles and genres, from Jazz to Baroque, Twentieth Century music to Pop music.

Fri 13 Jul 1.15pm: Roundhouse Choir & ARTCH dancers
Formed in September 2009, The Roundhouse Choir is rapidly establishing itself as one of the most exciting young emerging choirs in London and has consistently impressed audiences with its energy, enthusiasm and fascinating repertoire of songs. Together with Director Osnat Schmool and Assistant Director Rathi Kumar, the Choir has evolved a far reaching repertoire including music from South Africa, Namibia, Afro-Cuban Orishas, pop, spirituals and original scores. On 13 July, the Choir collaborates with dancers including Suzuko Tanoiri, as part of the one week dance festival Spontaneous Combustion organised by ARTCH.

Sat 21 Jul 1.15pm: Sam Garrett
Whitecross Street Party, Main stage on Whitecross Street
Sam Garrett is a man with a message. Having grown up in the surrounds of Derbyshire’s natural wonder and under early influences of his dad’s vinyl collection, this twenty one year old is a singer-songwriter intent on sharing his music and stories of the world as he understands it. Armed with his guitar and his stories, Sam Garrett is currently recording his debut EP Be Easy, set to be released in 2012.
