Primary Key Stage Concerts

LSO Schools Concerts are designed especially for Key Stages 1 and 2, which take place each term at the Barbican Centre. Each concert features the LSO and is presented by an LSO Animateur.

The programmes include interesting and lively repertoire, as well as a participation song written especially for each Key Stage Concert. Teacher INSET sessions are included in the ticket price. They are held around six weeks before each concert and are highly recommended and very popular. At the INSET, teachers are introduced to specially written classroom projects, extension tasks, and learn the best and easiest ways to teach their children the participation songs. Teachers also receive a Project Pack, recordings of the participation songs, and help preparing their children for the concert.

Key Stage Concert booking now takes place by email. Please email with your school’s contact details if you would like to be added to the booking mailing list.

Dog's Don't Do Ballet - Friday 10 October & Friday 17 October; 11am and 12.10pm.

Biff is a dog. He's not like other dogs... Other dogs like to roll in the mud, chase sticks in the park and run around. No, Biff likes ballet! This term's KS1 concert is based on 'Dogs Don't Do Ballet' by Anna Kemp, with Sara Ogilvie’s wonderful illustrations projected on screen. Join the London Symphony Orchestra and presenter, Rachel Leach as they tell Biff's story through music and singing.
