For the opening event in his Barbican residency, Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez invites some of his closest musical friends and collaborators to join him for a celebratory concert accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra. Joining one of the most luxurious, fresh and heartfelt tenor voices around is the gregarious mezzo Joyce DiDonato and the rousing, marshalling discipline of opera specialist conductor Guillermo García Calvo. Flórez’s residency is destined to start in style with this tantalizing and star-studded opening concert.
Change of conductor
Karel Mark Chichon is unable to conduct tonight’s concert due to illness. We are grateful to Guillermo García Calvo for agreeing to step in at a short notice.
Tickets: £25, £40, £55, £70, £85
