Free Friday Lunchtimes: Autumn series

For all ages
Award-winning presenter Rachel Leach, together with LSO and Guildhall School musicians, guides all ages through the wonderful world of classical music in these informal 45-minute performances which also include a Q&A session. This autumn's concerts include visits from the LSO French Horn section, and starry singers from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama vocal department.

Musical Storytelling for Under-5s

John Webb and LSO musicians re-tell a popular children's story through music, offering younger children the chance to dance and sing their way through live music in the beautiful Jerwood Hall.

The Two Bs: Bruch & Beethoven

The Nash Ensemble are one of the most popular UK chamber groups performing today. Today, they leave the woodwind and brass players at home and perform music for string quintet (two violins, two violas and a cello) composed by the mighty Beethoven and fellow German composer Bruch, best-known for his lyrical Violin Concerto.

It's half term! Celebrate no school in the morning with a special trip to see the London Symphony Orchestra at their home, the Barbican Centre. In this concert, legendary conductor Bernard Haitink directs a two-hour concert including dreamy music by Debussy, Mozart's Piano Concerto No 22 with celebrated pianist Mitsuko Uchida and Brahms Symphony No 4, a piece of captivating beauty.
